I enjoyed reading this book about Women bike riders. I have been part of Motorcycling for over 40 years, owned a Motorcycle for more than 20 years, raced for over 10 years, so of course it is always interesting reading about what other Women riders have done. I live in New Zealand and whilst I was racing, we would get Women who would come out and maybe do one or two races, then I wouldn;t see them again. I raced with Men, was never treated any different and I loved it. There were never any races set up just for Women. In your book, there were several Women who had done different types of racing and it was great to read about them and realise there were Women out there like me. I have a Ducati Monster 900 and still enjoy going out for a ride and again reading about the Women who do that too was great. I never thought about it being the Road to Empowerment - just that it was enjoyable and pretty special to be able to doProduct details

I seen this book on line and just had too but I just startedriding and wanted to ead some stories on other riders ad their adventures. Thank You and was here very quick cost well worth it.
I like the stories of the women . I cant say enough about women sharing their riding experiences and why they ride.
Sharing the stories is very inspiring . I would recommend this book.
This book expressed a lot of how I feel being a motorcycle rider. Liz does a great job of weaving her story in with the story of many women and their ride to confidence and strength. I'd highly recommend this book to all my friends even non-riders who are looking for some inspiration in their lives.
As a woman rider it's wonderful to read how motorcycles have empowered other women. And how their lives have changed from and with riding.

I found this to be an enjoyable, inspirational and easy read that quickly sucked me in to the wee hours of the morning. These 49 short stories of women who overcame various challenges and found their way through motorcycling will leave you contemplating your own path. Whether you ride a motorcycle or not, everyone can relate to stories about empowerment and that is just what this book eloquently offers up. Men and women alike will enjoy the stories about grabbing life by the horns, or in this case, the handlebars. Live your life, read this book then get out and ride!
Liz Jansen has captured both the details and the voices of women who ride motorcycles. I found myself in some of the stories and the qualities that I aspire to in others. Liz managed to bring together the stories of women and machines and show us how personal growth is possible no matter the setting or expectations. The women who shared their adventurous past and their inspiring future also made me feel as though I have met them before. Somehow, the 50 or so interviews were edited in such a way as to make you feel you had the chance to speak one on one with the interviewees. By taking an approach which was both factual and perceptual, a broader range of discourse was possible. Thank you, Liz for sharing the personal stories of others and in doing so challenge each of us to live up to what we can be individually or as part of a group. Women, Motorcycles and the Road to Empowerment allows you to see the boldness in you. An easy read with a meaningful message. Well done!
